The research group “Corporate Services and Systems (CSS)” dedicates its work to research and education on advanced analytics and pattern-based managerial decision making as well as on the foundations of dimensionality reduction, debiasing and probabilistic reasoning in large datasets. Since October 2011, Prof. Dr. Thomas Setzer is heading the group, located with the Institute of Information Systems and Marketing (IISM)  and supported by Bayer AG  and Forschungszentrum Informatik .

Current research topics include forecast de-biasing and forecast combination, campaign management, revenue management, prescriptive models in e-mobility, approximation of high-dimensional packing problems,  dynamic resource allocation mechanisms for business and public management, and Big Data-based geographical information systems
