The research group “Corporate Services and Systems (CSS)”, established in 2011 at KIT and headed by Prof. Thomas Setzer dedicates its work to research and education on advanced analytics and pattern-based managerial decision making as well as on the foundations of dimensionality reduction, probabilistic and temporal reasoning, and anomaly detection in huge sets of data.
We pursue research, both theoretical and experimental, at the intersection of management science, computer and data science, and microeconomics. We are interested in solving decision and planning problems and also in building decision support tools with managerial relevance.
Current research topics include corporate financial planning, supply-chain-controlling, proactive IT service-level management, process prioritization, revenue management, and dynamic resource allocation problems in virtualized data centers, and we collaborate with industry partners in these fields. Please find below informations about our current projects.
